Education Minister Gives Updates on B.U.T. And BEMU Negotiations
Education Minister Chester Cooper gave an update on negotiations with both the Bahamas Union of Teachers and the Bahamas Education Managerial Union outside the Office of the Prime Minister this morning.
Cooper told reporters the terms with the BUT have been agreed upon, with extensive meetings happening to solidify the language in the agreement.
He also shared that talks with BEMU are progressing well and there are still some disagreements. But Cooper said he anticipates those will be resolved in the coming weeks.
