CLIMATE-SMART AGRICULTURE [17TH JUNE 2026] – As Saint Lucia works to strengthen food security and build resilience within its agricultural sector, farmers and extension officers are being equipped with new tools and techniques to meet the challenges of a changing climate. This week, participants took part in a climate-smart agriculture training programme designed to boost productivity while reducing environmental impacts. Supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture and the Government of New Zealand, the initiative combined classroom instruction with hands-on field exercises.
