Gros Islet announces 2026 T20 Tournament
The Gros Islet Cricket Association Committee has announced plans to return competitive cricket to Gros Islet after a short break last year.
The Chairman of the Gros Islet Cricket Association Committee Joseph Hall said at a player draft last week that four teams will participate in the competition.
Coach Alton Crafton said Gros Islet’s Under-19 players will also be involved simultaneously in a longer format aimed at given them much needed game time. A few will also be drafted into the T20 competition which kicks off in October.
The four teams involved in the T20 Competition are named after accomplished active cricketers – batsman Jard Goodman, batsman/wicketkeeper Dominic Auguste, former West Indies Under-19 Captain Kimani Melius, and all-rounder/spinner Lee John.
