WASHINGTON VISIT [12TH JUNE 2026] – Saint Lucia’s voice on issues of gender equality and social development continues to grow internationally. Speaking at a recent Cabinet press briefing, Minister for Equity, Social Justice and Gender Affairs Emma Hippolyte reflected on a two-week mission to Washington, D.C. and Geneva, highlighting her participation in the 40th Assembly of Delegates of the Inter-American Commission of Women. The Minister praised the increasing influence of CARICOM nations within the Commission, describing it as a sign of the region’s commitment to advancing women’s empowerment and gender equality.
