TRASH LESS [22ND JULY 2026] – As the excitement of Lucian Carnival 2026 gives way to the clean-up, attention is turning to the environmental impact left in the wake of the celebrations. While thousands enjoyed the island’s premier cultural festival, concerns over littering and waste generated during the festivities have prompted renewed calls for greater public responsibility. Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage, Dr. Ernest Hilaire, is urging revellers and the wider public to adopt cleaner habits and help preserve the beauty of Saint Lucia while safeguarding the future of its Carnival product.
