The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) Marine Unit has taken twenty-five Haitian nationals into custody following an intelligence-led operation that intercepted the group shortly after they disembarked from a vessel onto local shores.
The incident, which occurred two weeks ago, has prompted police to launch a formal investigation into suspected human trafficking.
