Jamaica’s Under-19s went down by 112 runs to Barbados Under-19s in the final of the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 50-Over Championship at the Liberta Sports Club in Antigua today.

Sent to bat first, Barbados Under-19s piled up a challenging 320-9 off their 50 overs.

They were led by Justin Parris, who cracked an even century off 98 balls, including 23 fours and a six. He also shared in a 108-run fifth-wicket stand with Kemar Dixon, who made 48.

Kelani Clarke also made 49, while R’Jai Gittens contributed 37.

Alixandre Elliott took 4-40 and Jahdae Moore claimed 3-58 for the young Jamaicans.
