As Saint Lucia’s Carnival season gains momentum, the spotlight is turning to the island’s youngest performers. The Junior Carnival calendar is now in full swing, and CPMC officials are promising an unforgettable showcase of talent, creativity, and cultural pride as students take center stage in the Junior Soca and Calypso Schools Showcase.
Primary and secondary school students showcased their talents at the Marchand Grounds, using music and performance to celebrate Saint Lucian culture. The Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC) says initiatives like these are critical to nurturing the next generation of artists while providing positive outlets that help steer young people away from crime and violence.
