Ministry of Health: “No Confirmed Infections Have Been Identified At This Time”
Following a health scare at the Lynden Pindling International Airport earlier today, the Ministry of Health confirms tonight that the two European passengers aboard a British Airways flight showing symptoms of a high fever, currently show no signs of having an infection. The two passengers were quarantined at LPIA for screening by Ministry of Health officials this afternoon.
According to Ministry of Health representative, Dr. Jillian Bartlett, the risk to the public is currently low. However, according to health officials 43 people are at low risk, and will continue to be monitored.
The British and French nationals recently traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo over the past few weeks. The DRC has been the scene of the recent deadly Ebola outbreaks.
