Saint Lucia is celebrating a record-breaking wave of academic success while laying the groundwork for a major leap forward in athletic development.
Speaking at the weekly pre-cabinet press briefing, the Minister for Education, Youth Development, and Sports, Kenson Casimir revealed that thirty Saint Lucians recently graduated from Monroe University in New York.
Attending the commencement ceremony at Radio City Music Hall, Minister Casimir highlighted that this cohort represents one of the highest graduation numbers for any single island in the region this year.
He announced that the government is actively negotiating to expand these opportunities by introducing doctoral programs specifically for Saint Lucian scholars.
