The Jamaica Reconstruction and Resilience Oversight Committee (JAMRROC) will be officially launched on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Jamaica House.
The launch will mark an important step in strengthening transparency, accountability and independent oversight of Jamaica’s national reconstruction and resilience efforts following Hurricane Melissa.
Prime Minister, Dr. the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, will deliver the keynote address and will outline the key areas and objectives of the accountability framework that will guide the country’s reconstruction efforts.
JAMRROC will provide independent oversight of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA), which is responsible for coordinating post-disaster reconstruction and advancing Jamaica’s long-term resilience-building efforts.
The Committee will be chaired by Professor Peter Blair Henry, a distinguished Jamaican economist, Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and former Dean of NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Watch the Official Launch of JAMRROC as Jamaica moves towards a more coordinated, transparent and accountable approach to national reconstruction.
