Opposition Calls For Resignation of Michael Halkitis
Leader of the Official Opposition Michael Pintard and Free National Movement Chairman Dr. Duane Sands were joined by supporters this morning as they protested outside the House of Assembly and continued their calls for Finance Minister Michael Halkitis to resign.
Those calls for Halkitis to step down have been mounting in recent weeks after he came under fire after the FNM claimed he was affiliated with the construction firm that’s linked to convicted drug trafficker Eric Gardiner, who was taken into US custody last month following an election day plane crash.
