Reopening of the Centralized Community Safety Center

After the old facility was demolished in 2020, officers were left without a proper place to detain suspects — investigations stalled, stations overflowed, and security suffered.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre, the Government of Saint Lucia fixed that gap. On May 21, 2025, the Centralised Community Safety Centre officially opened — restoring a vital link in our national security network with modern, secure detention facilities.
