Revitalisation Blueprint Enters Evaluation Stage
Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John says the first phase of the Revitalisation Blueprint is progressing steadily and has now entered the evaluation stage.
The Minister spoke with TTT News at the Couva Public Library on Tuesday.
The Revitalisation Blueprint is a ten-year strategy developed by the Government to diversify the economy and create 72,000 jobs through major projects.
« We just closed off phase one Request For Proposal. That was just closed last week, so they are now being evaluated at UDeCOTT. »
Minister John also provided updates on the Road Rehabilitation Programme, noting that work is continuing across the country. She highlighted ongoing projects in several rural communities as part of the Government’s efforts to improve road infrastructure and connectivity.
« We are, for instance, in Manzanilla right now doing a lot of rehabilitation work. We are in a lot of the rural communities. We don’t leave out the rural communities. I mean, we have to do all of them. It’s a mix based on the resources, but we really try to stretch what we have and just assist everybody. »
