Roots Remembers Teen Killed in Crash

The Roots Junkanoo Group paid tribute to 19-year-old Keno Gordon on Tuesday night at R.M. Bailey High School. Gordon was one of the hospitalized victims of June 28th’s tragic car crash on Shirley Street, but he died six days later at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Roots Chairman Samuel Brown described Gordon as mannerly young man. He added that the teen had bright future ahead of him.

Roots Tum Tum Leader Amard Pratt worked closely with Gordon and said he was hardworking and humble, and that he made his way up to the line this year, becoming one of their best tum tum drummers.
