SAINT LUCIAN ARTISTES CALL FOR UNITY AMID AIRPLAY AND ROYALTY CONCERNS

UNFAIR AIRTIME [23RD JUNE 2026] – Longstanding concerns over limited radio airplay and inadequate royalty earnings have once again come to the forefront of Saint Lucia’s music industry. As the Eastern Caribbean Collective Organisation for Music Rights (ECCO) strengthens enforcement measures through a new tax-data partnership, local artistes are calling for greater unity within the creative sector. Many are advocating for the establishment of a formal music union, arguing that collective representation is needed to address industry challenges and support the growth and protection of Saint Lucian creators.
