Sarah Manoo Takes Miss La Reine Rive 2026 Crown
Culture, creativity and talent took centre stage on Sunday evening as nine contestants competed for top honours in the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition, with one exceptional contender emerging victorious to capture the Miss La Reine Rive 2026 crown and the $50,000 cash prize.
Sarah Manoo of the Rangila Dance Company, representing St Andrew/St David, captured the crown after an impressive display of talent, creativity and cultural expression.
The Rangila Dance Company further cemented its win by securing several major individual awards, including Best Gown, Best Makeup and Best Designer.
Philisa Celine Eligon of St George East was named first runner-up and winner of the Self-Expression category, while Aaliyah Hinds of the Shaquille Performing Arts Company in St Andrew/St David secured the second runner-up position and the Best Talent award.
Following the crowning ceremony, Minister of Culture and Community Development Michelle Benjamin congratulated the participants and encouraged cultural groups involved in the competition to continue working together to strengthen and build the Best Village product for future generations.

The Miss La Reine Rive competition 2026 forms part of the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition, a programme aimed at preserving and promoting Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural heritage while providing communities with a platform to showcase their talent and creativity.
