Police are now questioning a seventh person in connection with the disappearance of two-year-old Angelo Tobias-Plaza, as another day of intensive searches ended without a breakthrough.
Angelo was reported missing from his Goodwood home at around 7:30pm on Monday, May 11th.
His mother, Kalifah Tobias, and stepfather, Shannon Miller, are among those currently being questioned by investigators.
Police indicated that the Cyber Crime Unit is analysing electronic devices seized as part of the investigation.
Acting on intelligence received, search efforts expanded to the Studley Park Landfill on Sunday. However, investigators said the operation has so far yielded no substantial evidence.
Search teams have also combed areas along Pig Farm Road, the vicinity of the family’s home in Goodwood, and nearby coastal areas. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has partnered with the Tobago Emergency Management Agency, the Hunters Search and Rescue Team and other agencies in the ongoing search for the missing toddler.
Investigators are urging anyone with credible information that could assist in locating the child to contact the police.
