SPECIAL OPERATIONS BILL 2026 EX COP GARY GRIFFITH WEIGHS IN
Following the expiration of the State of Emergency, the government has introduced the Special Operations Bill twenty-twenty-six, establishing seven national policing districts—including Tobago as District Seven—where designated « closed zones » can enforce curfews and joint patrols. Speaking on Tobago Updates this morning, former Police Commissioner Gary Griffith supported the transitional law, but criticized operational planning and body-camera delays.
