Although forecasts suggest the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season may be less active than average, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Nutrition is urging Saint Lucians not to become complacent.
Health officials are encouraging residents to begin preparations early, warning that El Niño conditions could still bring extreme heat, drought, water shortages and other public health challenges even in a quieter hurricane season.
