To a TVJ News follow-up, thirteen-year-old stabbing victim Kemelia Paul, who was previously unconscious following the brutal attack, is now responsive and showing signs of improvement after undergoing two of three major surgeries.

Signs of hope are emerging in the recovery of thirteen-year-old Kemelia Paul, who continues to fight for recovery in hospital after being stabbed earlier this month.
Family members say the Excelsior High School student is now responsive after previously being unconscious and has successfully completed two of three major surgeries.
Her mother says she is thankful for the blood donations, which have been helping the teenager significantly.
However, the battle still remains.
