Tobago Jet Ski Operator Charged With Manslaughter In Angelica Jogie Death
A 33-year-old Tobago man is expected to appear in court tomorrow, Tuesday, charged with the manslaughter of seven-year-old Angelica Jogie, who died following a jet ski collision at Pigeon Point Marine Park earlier this year.
The charge stems from an incident on April 8th, 2026, when Angelica and several members of her family were struck by a jet ski while in an area designated for bathing. She later died at hospital.
In a media release on Monday, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard SC advised investigators to charge the 33-year-old Canaan jet ski operator with manslaughter.
Police said the suspect was re-arrested on Monday in connection with the matter and is expected to appear before the High Court on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026.
The investigation was led by Senior Superintendent Kirk, Superintendent Joseph, Assistant Superintendent Baccus and Inspector Alleyne, with support from Sergeant Jonas, all of the Tobago Division.
