UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY OVERWHELMINGLY CONDEMNS U.S. CUBA EMBARGO FOR 33RD YEAR
For the 33rd consecutive year, the United Nations General Assembly has overwhelmingly condemned the U.S. economic embargo on Cuba, with 165 countries voting in favor of the resolution. While the vote is largely symbolic and non-binding, Cuban Ambassador Yenielys Vilma Regueiferos Linares hailed it as another diplomatic victory and thanked Saint Lucia, CARICOM, and the global community for their support.
