A St. James senior citizen is pleading for help after Hurricane Melissa destroyed her home.
Months later, she is still living in poor conditions without proper shelter.
With little support, Lesma Reid says she has nowhere else to turn.
Ms. Reid says she has applied to the government’s ROOFS Programme and is expected to benefit. However, she says the wait has been difficult.
As she continues to hold on for assistance, Lesma Reid is hoping relief will come soon.
