Walcott Opens 2026 Season With Diamond League Bronze

Javelin World Champion Keshorn Walcott started his 2026 season with a bronze medal at the Wanda Diamond League meet in Rabat, Morocco, on Sunday.

Walcott registered 82.52 metres to capture third place in the event, with Grenada’s Anderson Peters taking the gold medal with a throw of 86.09m, while the silver medal was taken by Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga, who managed 85.97 metres.

Walcott’s efforts included an opening throw of 80.63m, followed by 76.93m and 75.70m, before registering the bronze-medal-winning performance.

The next stop for the Diamond League is Rome, Italy, on June 4th, followed by Stockholm, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; and Paris, France, to complete the June line-up.
