Thousands of African migrants and asylum seekers arrived in Toronto last summer and were forced to sleep on the city’s streets because there was no space left in shelters It prompted advocates, at the time, to call on all levels of government in Canada to respond with emergency housing and support to address the shelter crisis, even as churches and other organizations stepped up to fill up the gap. Peel Regional Police say they are still searching for a vulnerable 3-year-old boy who went missing in a Mississauga, Ont., park. Police said the boy, named Zaid, was last seen at 6:20 p.m. local time on Thursday in the area of Erindale Park. Sgt.
