Trudeau says there's a "deep hope for change in the world" as he speaks out against Iranian regime

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered remarks during a community Nowruz event in Aurora, Ont., on Saturday. "As we reflect back on the past year, there are reasons for hope. But there's also a deep hope for change in the world. The killing of Mahsa Amini resonated around the world. It continued in the anger and heartbreak of so many Iranians living around the world – living in Canada and elsewhere – have been feeling for many years," Trudeau said. The prime minister added that "the downing of PS752...as a further example that created such a sense of loss and betrayal by the Iranian administration. And in Canada and around the world we continue to stand with everyone marking and pushing back against this Iranian regime."
