Minister of Land and Legal Affairs Saddam Hosein has pushed back against claims surrounding Landmark TT, the newly established State enterprise spearheading a public-private housing initiative to develop underutilised State lands.
The Minister’s statement in Parliament on Friday follows reports that the Office of Procurement Regulation is investigating serious concerns over LandmarkTT Properties Limited’s handling of the procurement process for the $100 million Allamby Residential Development Project in Corinth, San Fernando.
He said claims that lands were transferred to the developer at peppercorn rates amounted to “political mischief” and were “absolutely untrue.”
