MOH: Accountability Framework MOU Signed | TVJ News
The Health Ministry is renewing its focus on training to improve the delivery of healthcare services.
This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding establishing an accountability framework involving the country’s four Regional Health Authorities and other public bodies.
The framework focuses on governance and oversight, financial and procurement accountability, as well as capacity building and performance management.
Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says one of the major challenges facing the sector is not necessarily a lack of funding, but the effective management and development of human resources.
