Meanwhile, the Santa Cruz Police have launched an investigation following the gruesome discovery of a fully decomposed male body.

TVJ News understands that the body was found about 9:00 Sunday morning in a remote area near the Santa Cruz Police Station.

The discovery brings to three the number of bodies found in St. Elizabeth over the last 11 days.

Last Thursday, a torso believed to be that of a man was found in bushes in Aberdeen, St. Elizabeth.

And on June 11, the body of 40-year-old Kedecia McLeod, who was reported missing on June 9, was discovered in a field in Pepper, St. Elizabeth.

Investigators believe the killings may have occurred in another parish, with the bodies later dumped in St. Elizabeth.
