Environmental Health Division Outlines Safe Food Practices during the Carnival Season

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Nutrition is reminding food vendors and patrons of the importance of food safety practices during the Carnival season to prevent food-borne illnesses such as gastroenteritis. The public is asked to remain vigilant and prioritize food safety and hygiene as they purchase foods and beverages at the Carnival events or activities. The Ministry of Health encourages patrons to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves.
Environmental Health Officer, Sherma Toussaint spoke on the guidelines to be followed by food vendors, food handlers and patrons during the Carnival season.
