Wilson: “Don’t Talk to Me About Overtime When Fuel Has to Reach 23 Stations”

Bahamas Electrical Workers Union President Kyle Wilson says employees are being forced to work long hours to keep fuel flowing to power stations across The Bahamas, while also facing criticism over the overtime required to keep operations running.
Meanwhile, a BPL employee says fuel requests for Bahamas Utilities Company, FOCOL and Family Island tanks often leave employees working extended hours while handling several critical tasks at once.
Wilson also accused management of failing to stand up for workers despite knowing the demands of the job.
