Campbell: This Framework Is Set To Help Farmers Align Production With Market Demand
The Ministry of Agriculture & Marine Resources, in collaboration with the Bahamas Agricultural Industrial Corporation (BAIC), Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), and The Bahamas Agricultural Health & Food Safety Authority (BAHFSA), is rolling out the 2026-2030 Bahamas National Crop Scheduling Roadmap.
According to Agriculture & Marine Resources Minister, Jomo Campbell, the roadmap is designed to align agricultural production with market demand.
The initiative will begin with tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, cabbage and onions. Once production targets are met for these crops, additional crops are expected to be introduced.
