C.C. Sweeting High Teachers Protest Over Power Issues
C.C. Sweeting Senior High School teachers staged a protest outside the school’s Oakes Field campus on Friday morning.
Those teachers said they’ve had it with frequent power outages that they claim are not only impacting learning, but also becoming a danger to students.
Bahamas Union of Teachers Shop Steward for C.C. Sweeting High, Kimberley Butterfield, says they’re calling on the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology to fix the issues.
Special Education teacher Gia Symonette said the power outages are also impacting special needs students at the school.
