Forestry 5k To Raise Funds For Black River Mangroves | TVJ Sports
The Forestry Department has launched a new 5K Urban Forest Run aimed at supporting reforestation efforts in St. Elizabeth, which was ravaged by Hurricane Melissa last October.
The event, dubbed « Run in the East, Re-Leaf the West, » aims to raise funds for the Black River mangroves, which were severely damaged by the Category 5 hurricane.
Ainsley Henry, CEO of the Forestry Department, spoke with TVJ about the initiative.
