Minister Saddam Hosein Signs Patent Drafting MoU With WIPO
Trinidad and Tobago has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Patent Drafting with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Minister of Land and Legal Affairs Saddam Hosein signed the agreement during the 68th WIPO General Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
The partnership aims to build local patent drafting expertise, reducing reliance on foreign services and supporting innovation at home.
Minister Hosein said the initiative will train local professionals, encourage patent filings, and help protect and commercialise Trinidad and Tobago’s creative and inventive ideas.
