NEW LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME AIMS TO STRENGTHEN BEACH SAFETY
Saint Lucia is preparing to train and certify a new cadre of professional lifeguards as part of efforts to strengthen safety at the island’s beaches. The Saint Lucia Life Saving Association is preparing for its National Lifesaving Clinic, scheduled for October 26 to November 6 at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre and Reduit Beach. More than 30 applicants have already expressed interest, with a preliminary training session held to assess candidates.
