News Bite: Natl. Fisheries Authority Application Deadlines for Fisheries Licenses
The National Fisheries Authority’s new licensing process, effective September 1, 2026, aims to improve efficiency and integrity. Applicants will be notified of delays or incomplete info and must respond within 30 days (fishers) or 42 days (vessels). Unresponsive applications will be closed. Processing takes 7 days for fishers and 14 days for vessels. All fees are non-refundable. Stakeholders are encouraged to follow these procedures for a smoother experience.
