Security Council: Minimum Sentence For Illegal Guns To Move From 15 To 20 Years | TVJ News
The National Security Council (NSC) is pushing to increase the minimum sentence for persons who carry illegal guns from 15 years to 20 years.
Despite the criticisms, the Andrew Holness administration is sending a strong signal that it is getting rid of the gun culture in Jamaica.
There will also be an amnesty for persons to hand over illegal weapons and other changes to the Firearms Act.
