Tanker Drivers Call In Sick Amid Labour Dispute | TVJ News
Several tanker drivers across the island called in sick today to press for issues affecting them to be addressed by petroleum haulage contractors and marketing companies.
The Union of Clerical, Administrative and Supervisory Employees, UCASE, which represents the more than 200 drivers, says the main concerns relate to constructive dismissal, delayed wage adjustments and the payment of pension benefits.
UCASE President Vincent Morrison says a meeting of the tanker drivers has been called for tomorrow afternoon to discuss their grouses:
