UNEMPLOYMENT FALLS TO 10.1 PERCENT AS GOVERNMENT TARGETS SINGLE DIGITS
Saint Lucia’s unemployment rate has fallen to 10.1 percent, while youth unemployment dropped to 15.5 percent in the second quarter of 2026. Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre says the government is encouraged by the figures but is not satisfied, with a continued focus on skills training and youth initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment to single digits.
