WOMEN’S RIGHTS ADVOCATES DEMAND STRONGER ACTION AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
Women’s rights advocates and activists are demanding greater protection, accountability and urgency in the fight against gender-based violence. Following the discovery of a body believed to be that of 22-year-old Merrissa Auguste, advocates have renewed calls for action, with the names of Alana Bernard, Kimberly De Leon, Joy St. Omer and Merrissa Auguste raised in calls for justice.
