Young Citizens Celebrate Nationhood At Republic Day Parade
As Trinidad and Tobago commemorated 50 years as a Republic on Thursday, young people from communities across the country came together in celebration of nationhood, service and civic pride.
Led by the Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago, the third annual Republic Day Parade, hosted at Skinner Park, San Fernando, brought together hundreds of scouts and volunteers, showcasing the values of leadership, discipline and community engagement that have helped shape generations of young citizens.
The celebration not only honoured the nation’s journey over the past five decades but also highlighted the important role young people continue to play in national development.
Through music, ceremony and fellowship, participants reflected on Trinidad and Tobago’s rich heritage while embracing a shared commitment to building a stronger future.
