The Ministry of Education is condemning a decision by Ascot Primary School in Portmore, St Catherine, to treat students differently based on their performance in the 2026 Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examinations.
It follows reports that students who were not deemed proficient in the PEP assessment were denied the opportunity to wear graduation gowns during the school’s graduation ceremony.
