St. Lucia Advances HIV Prevention: PrEP Training for Healthcare Professionals
The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs, in partnership with the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities (CVC), is strengthening HIV prevention efforts in St. Lucia through education and capacity building.
As part of its sensitization initiatives, the Ministry hosted workshops in both the north and south of the island, titled « Sensitization of Healthcare Professionals and Private Sector Providers on the Use and Prescribing of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). »
The sessions targeted district medical officers, family nurse practitioners, and private sector providers.
