Concern over undiagnosed learning issues in children

The Barbados Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools has called attention to undiagnosed learning problems in schoolchildren. President, Stephen Jackman says children are having great difficulty in performing at the level expected as a result. This was conveyed during the "Meet Me Under the Streetlight - Let's Talk" series. We've also been told teachers have become creative in planning and executing their lessons to accommodate students with undiagnosed learning disabilities or learning difficulties. Vice President of the Barbados Association of Guidance Counsellors, Shernell Clarke says this is done to measure the student's success. Ms. Clarke is the Guidance Counsellor at the Daryll Jordan Secondary School.
