BDOCS Commissioner: “This Project Is Divided Into Two Phases”
Construction of The Bahamas’ planned 17-building correctional facility will move forward in two phases, according to Bahamas Department of Corrections Commissioner Doan Cleare.
Cleare says work must first be completed on the new court facilities, including the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Magistrate’s Court.
Once the new cells purchased from the United States are installed, the existing court building will be demolished, clearing the way for construction of the new correctional facility to begin.
