Brian Kelly was at the heart of the American attack, completing his hat-trick as the USA repeatedly exploited openings on the back door with sharp passing and movement.
Chad Palumbo also got in on the scoring, firing home another powerful effort as the Americans stretched their advantage to 10 goals. Colombia continued to battle against the world’s top-ranked side, with goalkeeper Gomez producing several saves under sustained pressure.
