FAO AND GOVERNMENT PARTNER TO BUILD A SAFER, MORE SUSTAINABLE FISHING SECTOR
For Saint Lucia’s fishers, surviving on the water is becoming increasingly difficult as climate change, rising costs and limited access to financing put pressure on the sector. Now, the Food and Agriculture Organization and the Ministry of Fisheries and Food Security are working with stakeholders on a project designed to make fishing safer, more sustainable and more financially secure for small-scale fishers.
