Lightbourne: “We Have Instructed That Fence to Come Down”
Following the release of a statement ordering the removal of fencing at Cabbage Beach, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Zane Lightbourne confirmed today that officials have been in contact with the developers after discovering that the fence was erected outside the agreed parameters.
Lightbourne said unusually high tides may have contributed to the fence’s positioning, but stressed that officials are not satisfied with its current placement.
He added that a team is on the ground assessing the situation and determining whether fines are warranted.
